3D Blu-ray Disc Players, Home Theaters, and Receivers

Please note that if you want to watch a movie in 3D, you will need to look for a movie in the Blu-ray 3D format. 3D movies in this format will give you the most stunning 3D effects compared with other technologies.

These 3D Blu-ray players read DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, and Blu-ray 3D Discs. Always look for the new Blu-ray 3D format, as it will give you the best 3D effects at home.

Also note that a lot of movies currently on the market are labeled 3D but will not give you the exciting 3D effects you are looking for. Most of these movies have been released over the last few years and are currently on DVD or Blu-ray and use a different technology (anaglyph or polarized). These movies will play fine on your 3D-capable HDTV; however, the 3D effects will not be as impressive as the 3D effects you would get from a movie on a Blu-ray 3D.

These home theaters and receivers are optimized for HDMI v1.4, which means that they are 3D-ready. They will work with your 3D HDTV and 3D Blu-ray Disc player and will be able to carry the 3D audio and video signal in your home entertainment center. Note that the Yamaha products will be uppgraded to HDMI v1.4 via a firmware upgrade.
